75. What are some dangers or temptations that pornography poses today?
Pornography is sin. It turns us away from God and from others. Because the internet has made pornography widely available, it has become an ensaring addiction for many people. It is dangerous because

Psalm 27:4, 8 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His temple. ... You have said, "Seek My face." My heart says to You, "Your face, LORD, do I seek."
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world.
B. it treats others (usually women) as physical objects for selfish pleasure, rather than as persons whom God has created to be His own and endowed with dignity and purpose;
Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
C. it undermines desire for a healthy, loving sexual expression between a husband and wife in marriage and leads to unrealistic views and sinful expectations about sexuality.
1 Corinthians 6:13 The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
Ephesians 5:33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
