244. How is it possible that we can dare to call God Father?
Because in Christ, we have been adopted as God's children.
Galatians 3:26 In Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
Galatians 4:4-6 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"
Romans 8:15-16 For you did not receive the spirit of slavert to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
2 Corinthians 6:18 I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.
1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
