19. Why is the second use of the Law so important?
It shows that we all have sinned and cannot keep God's commandments, and so it makes known our need for the Gospel of Christ, who is the fulfillment of the Law. The Law always accuses.
Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the Law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it.Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Galatians 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us--for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"--so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
