Daily Walk in the Catechism

179. What does it mean that we will "serve Him in everlasting rigtheousness, innocence, and blessedness"?

We serve Jesus now as those who belong to Him and live under Him in His kingdom. Yet, we also look forward to the day when sin, death, and the devil will no longer hinder us from serving Him with complete devotion in peace and joy forever.

Colossians 2:6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the LOrd, so walk in Him.

Philippians 1:6 He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no mre, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

See Luke 1:69-75 and Matthew 25:31-46.
