161. What two natures are united in the one person of Jesus Christ?
The divine and the human natures are united in Jesus Christ. This personal union began with He became man (incarnation) and continues forever.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 Timothy 3:16 Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh.
Colossians 2:9 In Him [Christ] the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.
